Maiden Komodo season — first sailing 17 August 2026 · Reserve your dates

Inside LASHA’s Master Suite: a Jacuzzi Bathtub with Ocean Windows

LASHA carries two Master Suite Jacuzzi & Balcony cabins — 205 and 206 — on the main deck. Each pairs a double bed (plus an optional extra bed) with a private balcony and an in-suite jacuzzi bathtub set against ocean-view windows, finished in white and ivory with a marble bathroom, rain shower and brass-gold detailing.

Every yacht has one space that explains the whole vessel. On LASHA — the 2023-built, 52.5-metre phinisi that opens her maiden Komodo season on 17 August 2026 — that space is a bathtub. Specifically, the in-suite jacuzzi bathtubs of Master Suites 205 and 206, positioned so that the water in the tub and the water of Komodo National Park share the same window frame. This is a tour of the suite built around them.

Where Do the Master Suites Sit on the Ship?

LASHA spreads ten ensuite cabins for up to 26 guests across four decks, and the two Master Suites hold the prime main-deck position — cabins 205 and 206, steps from the living room with its smart TV and PlayStation 5, and from the dive deck where each day’s snorkelling and diving begins. Main-deck placement matters on a 466 GT vessel: it means minimal stair-climbing, the gentlest motion, and a private balcony that opens directly onto the passing islands. The full deck-by-deck picture is on the yacht page.

The Jacuzzi Bathtub With Ocean Windows

Follow the cabin’s single flowing line — main-deck position, double bed, private balcony — and it ends at the suite’s defining feature: a jacuzzi bathtub placed hard against ocean-view windows. Fill it at anchor in a Komodo bay and the horizon sits at eye level; fill it under way and the islands slide past the glass. LASHA carries two jacuzzis in total — these in-suite tubs and the open-air jacuzzi on the top sun deck — but only in 205 and 206 is the experience private, unhurried and entirely yours.

The bathroom continues the standard set across all ten cabins, then exceeds it: marble surfaces, a rain shower, brass-gold fittings against white and ivory. It is the finish level of a land-based suite, delivered inside a hull of Ulin ironwood and Jati teak — the hardwood pairing named in UNESCO’s 2017 listing of South Sulawesi’s pinisi boatbuilding craft.

What Do the Ocean Windows Actually Frame?

A World Heritage Site, most mornings. LASHA’s maiden season sails Komodo National Park — established in 1980, UNESCO-inscribed in 1991, and covering 219,322 hectares of land and sea across the islands of Komodo, Rinca and Padar, per the official World Heritage datasheet. From the tub, that translates into specifics: Padar’s ridgeline rising roughly 200 metres above its three differently coloured bays; the rose tint of Pink Beach, where white coral sand mixes with red-shelled foraminifera; the glassy anchorages of the dry season, which holds from roughly April to October. Few bathroom windows anywhere carry this catalogue.

Timing sharpens the view further. Dive operators such as Scuba Junkie Komodo report the year’s clearest water — 30 to 40 metres of visibility — from June through September, while the plankton-rich months of December to March bring peak manta activity to the park’s cleaning stations. Either way, the suite’s private balcony is the front row, and the bathtub is the box seat.

How Do the Master Suites Compare With LASHA’s Other Cabins?

Cabin Deck Beds Guests Signature feature
Master Suite Jacuzzi & Balcony 205–206 Main Double + extra 2–3 In-suite jacuzzi bathtub, ocean windows, private balcony
Junior Suite Balcony 201–204 Main Double (203/204 fit extra bed) 2–3 Private balcony
Grand Deluxe 103–104 Lower Twin + extra 2–3 Third-guest flexibility
Deluxe 101–102 Lower Twin 2 Quiet lower-deck position

All ten cabins are ensuite; together they sleep up to 26 guests with extra beds — capacity that makes LASHA one of the largest luxury phinisi in the Komodo fleet. Individual cabin pages, including the Master Suite in full and the Junior Suite Balcony, carry floor-level detail.

Who Should Claim 205 and 206?

On a full-boat charter, the Master Suites are the natural rooms for the couple the trip is really about: honeymooners, an anniversary pair, the grandparents at the centre of a three-generation sailing, the friends who organised the whole group. Charter etiquette aboard a 26-guest vessel usually resolves itself — the hosts take 205, the guests of honour take 206. How celebration charters typically assign the suites is covered in our honeymoon and celebrations guide; how large families arrange all ten cabins is mapped in the multi-generation guide; and evenings tend to end two decks up, as described in the dining-at-sea feature.

There is also a practical case for the suites beyond romance. The private balconies give early risers a place for coffee before the ship wakes, and the in-suite tub means the day’s first and last hour never require leaving the cabin — small logistics that matter more on a two- or five-night sailing than any brochure adjective. With 205 and 206 both fitting an extra bed, each suite flexes to three guests when a family takes them.

When Can You First Sleep Aboard?

One month from now. LASHA’s maiden Komodo season opens with her first public sailing on 17 August 2026 — Indonesia’s Independence Day — and the realistic first-season window runs from late August through November, when crossings stay calm and the park quietens after peak season. Worth knowing for planners: July and August departures on luxury phinisi are typically reserved six to twelve months ahead per operator reporting, so couples eyeing the 2027 peak for an anniversary or honeymoon in suite 205 should be in touch from this September. The full launch picture is in the maiden-season announcement.

How Do You Book a Master Suite?

You book the ship. LASHA sails as a full-boat charter, so 205 and 206 come with every sailing rather than being sold cabin-by-cabin: whole-boat rates start at $9,800 per night for up to 14 guests on Komodo leisure routes (minimum two nights), rising by $700 per additional guest to 22, with park entrance fees of $25 per person per night additional. The complete bands — including 2D1N Komodo and Raja Ampat routes — are on the rates page. From 17 August 2026, the first guests to sleep in these suites will be maiden-season charterers.
