What Is the Climb Like?
Short — a matter of minutes rather than hours — and disproportionately demanding. The rock is karst limestone weathered into blades and pockets, so it is less a walk than a scramble on handholds that will happily draw blood if you grab carelessly. Gloves help. Proper shoes help more. The reward is the view every photograph of Raja Ampat has been trying to reproduce: dozens of green karst mushrooms sitting in water that shades from white to deep blue in a few metres.
What Else Is There Besides the View?
