Read that as a pricing structure rather than a safety ratio. It tells you what a group of five pays. It is not a published rule that one guide may escort no more than five visitors, and we would not present it as one. What is clear is that at the main land sites on Komodo Island and Rinca Island, visitors are accompanied by a naturalist guide — this is not a self-guided walk.
What sits inside a liveaboard rate, and what sits outside?
