How the charter rate is structured

LASHA is sold as a whole-boat private charter: one nightly rate for the entire vessel — all 10 ensuite cabins, up to 26 guests, four decks, full crew. There is no per-person ticketing arithmetic inside the boat; you and your group have her exclusively. On the long-haul expedition band (Raja Ampat, Banda Sea, Wakatobi, Maratua) the rate starts from USD 11,600 per night with a 5-night minimum, which works out to roughly USD 750 per guest per night with 14 guests aboard. What the charter rate covers

The rate is built to make life aboard all-inclusive in the ways that matter day to day, per the inclusion list on the rates page:

The vessel and crew. The full professional crew sails with every charter — bridge, deck, engine room, galley and service. LASHA is a registered sailing vessel under the Indonesian flag, launched in 2023 with an ironwood and teak hull in the Buginese tradition, and she is run accordingly: Garmin GPS, Samyung AIS, radar with SART and iCom comms on the bridge, twin 70 kVA Mitsubishi gensets below. Crew and vessel are one line item — yours for the duration.

All meals aboard. Full-board dining is part of the charter, prepared fresh in the galley throughout the trip. Dietary requirements are collected before departure and cooked around, not worked around. With 22,000 litres of fresh water and 12,000 litres of fuel capacity, the boat provisions properly even on remote routes.

The standard activity program. Daily excursions built into the itinerary — island landings, snorkelling from the tenders, the beach and trekking stops that shape a Komodo week — run under the charter rate as itemised on the rates sheet. Specialised programs such as diving carry their own published policy on the same page.

Accommodation, obviously — but read the cabin list. All 10 ensuite cabins come with the boat: Master Suite with jacuzzi, Junior Suite with balcony, Grand Deluxe and Deluxe categories across the vessel's four decks. How you allocate them within your group is up to you.

What is billed separately

Two categories sit outside the charter rate, and both are standard practice across Indonesian liveaboards:

Komodo National Park fees. Entrance and activity fees for the park are set by the park authority, charged per person, and collected separately from the charter rate — the operator has no control over them and they are subject to change by regulation. The sales desk confirms the current fee schedule for your dates at booking so there are no surprises at the gate. The same principle applies to marine park and entrance fees on the eastern expedition routes.

Items flagged as exclusions on the rate sheet. Anything the rates page lists outside the charter rate — such as the dive program under its own rate policy — is quoted transparently before you commit. Getting to the boat: Labuan Bajo and Komodo Airport (LBJ)

LASHA's home port is Labuan Bajo on the western tip of Flores — the gateway town for Komodo National Park. Komodo Airport (code LBJ) sits on the edge of town, minutes from the waterfront, with multiple daily flights from Bali (DPS) and direct connections from Jakarta. It is one of the easiest liveaboard embarkations in Indonesia: no domestic overnight, no long road transfer, no second boat to reach the first one.

How arrival day runs

Share your flight details with the sales desk in advance and the transfer from LBJ to the harbour is coordinated for you — it is a short drive, and the team tracks arrivals so a delayed flight does not strand anyone. At the harbour you are tendered out to the boat, welcomed aboard, and shown to your cabins while luggage is handled. A safety and itinerary briefing follows, and depending on your departure time, LASHA typically gets underway the same day so your first sunset is already inside the park. The reverse applies on disembarkation: the crew times the final morning around your flights out of LBJ, and the desk will advise on sensible minimum connection times back through Bali or Jakarta.

Budgeting a real number

Put together, a clean way to budget a LASHA charter looks like this: the whole-boat nightly rate for your route band multiplied by nights (from USD 11,600 on long-haul routes, from the Komodo band for park itineraries), plus park fees per person per the current schedule, plus any separately-policied programs like diving, plus your flights to Labuan Bajo.
